The Four Pillars of my business come from my life experiences. These four staples make up who I am and what I’m interested in. Along the way, I’ve found that other people are interested in the same things that I am and I can connect to others around these things. So this blog is more of an introduction to myself and my Four Pillars.
Cannabis holds a special place in holistic health and wellness, with its therapeutic properties. It can be a natural alternative for pain relief, stress reduction, and promoting sleep, among other benefits. Utilizing cannabis responsibly and mindfully can enhance a person’s journey towards achieving balance and wellness. There’s new information coming out every day about Cannabis and its various uses. I was introduced to Cannabis in 2017 recreationally. After the first few times, I noticed how much my mood and anxiety (which can feel crippling to me) improved. Over the years I’ve learned a lot about the medicinal and environmental sustainability of Cannabis. One of my goals is to share this knowledge with others and bring more awareness to the general public.
Motherhood is a transformative journey that brings about immense life changes. It's a profound experience that opens a new world of love, worry, joy, and challenges. It's a role filled with a multitude of responsibilities, but also countless rewarding moments. It teaches patience, resilience, and the true meaning of unconditional love. As a mother, I strive to provide a nurturing and loving environment for my child, guiding him through his journey of growth and discovery. I was one of those people who endlessly searched the internet about pregnancy, birth, and what it means to be a mom. One of the main reasons I went to therapy was to process my childhood so I could be the best version of myself for my child. Now that I am a Mom and my baby is almost one I’ve learned about this wonderful thing called Matrescence. (See my blog on Matrescence) I knew that motherhood would transform me but I had no idea how. It made me set stronger boundaries, take up more space, and have the confidence to be my authentic self wherever I am.
Birth is a miraculous process, a beautiful beginning of a new life. It's a transformative experience that brings about a sense of awe and wonder. It's a journey that demands strength and courage, but also brings immeasurable joy and fulfillment. Birth is an intimate and empowering process, a testament to the power and resilience of life and womanhood. I’m going to share my full birth story in the days to come. To summarize I enjoyed my pregnancy and I completely understand why some women don’t. I also worked as a doula for the entire time. I have seen all kinds of birth and pregnancy experiences. I’m happy to answer any questions about birth, pregnancy, or what a doula is, just send me an email or a DM on IG @britheherbdoula.
Yoga is a holistic practice often used for its physical and mental benefits. It involves a combination of postures, breathing exercises, and meditation to promote overall well-being. It aids in enhancing flexibility, strength, and balance, while also reducing stress and promoting mindfulness and inner peace. Regular practice of yoga contributes to a healthy body, a calm mind, and a balanced spirit. I used to randomly do yoga at night to help calm my body and mind before I went to sleep while working as a high school teacher. After coming to terms with the fact I didn’t and couldn’t be a high school teacher anymore I got serious about yoga, took a training, and decided I was going to be a yoga instructor… That didn’t work out see why in my yoga blog post.
Well, that wraps up my introduction and my Four Pillars. If you enjoyed this read leave a comment, like, subscribe all that jazz.
